News appears about the discovery of a tribe in the middle of the Amazon “never seen before”. They send helicopters and cameras, they want to record everything. In a video that went viral a while ago, a person comes into contact "for the first time" with a group of aborigines. Among other things, the person offers them cooked rice, the aborigines do not eat it immediately, they examine it with their hands, they smell it, they spread it and after many precautions they taste it. What if an Aboriginal from an unknown tribe walked into a supermarket and came across the candy section? In this performance played the role of two people from an unknown tribe, two people who decorate each other with candy as a solemn ritual act. For this we arranged some candy in the middle of a fashion store. It is liberating to allow yourself not to be from the culture you come from. For a period of time not having to comply with behavioral rules, not speaking the same language, not to get someone to understand something. The "estrangement" can not only be experienced by the clash of cultures, it is also in the immediate possibility of the aesthetic experience that recognizes "the same", everyday, as "other" or "strange".

Aparecen noticias sobre el hallazgo de una tribu en medio del amazonas “nunca antes vista”. Envían helicópteros y cámaras, quieren registrarlo todo. En un video que se volvió viral hace un tiempo una persona occidental entra en contacto “por primera vez” con un grupo de aborígenes. Entre otras cosas el occidental les ofrece arroz cocinado, los aborígenes no lo comen de inmediato, ellos lo examinan con sus manos, lo huelen, se lo untan y después de muchas precauciones lo prueban. ¿Qué pasaría si un aborigen de una tribu desconocida entrara en un supermercado y se encontrara con la sección de los dulces? En este performance entramos en el rol de dos personas de una tribu desconocida que se decoran entre sí con dulces a manera de un acto ritual, solemne. Para esto dispusimos una tela –y sobre ella unos dulces– en medio de una tienda de moda en su día de ofertas. Resulta liberador el permitirse no ser de la cultura de donde se proviene. Por un lapso de tiempo no tener que cumplir reglas de comportamiento, no hablar el mismo idioma, no intentar que alguien entienda algo. El “extrañamiento” no sólo se puede vivir por el choque de las culturas, también está en la posibilidad inmediata de la experiencia estética que reconoce “lo mismo”, cotidiano, como “otro” o “extraño.
